DoDoU CV – Español
DoDoU es una artista contemporánea neo-minimalista argentina. Usando un lenguaje claro y universal, su formación en diversas áreas como la medicina, la filosofía oriental, la música y las artes visuales, le permitió desarrollar un concepto de escultura que combina elementos de pequeño formato, principalmente tizas, carbonillas y maderas. Luego de 20 años de trabajo en su taller, en 2018 decidió dedicarse exclusivamente y por tiempo completo a la escultura. En 2019 se realizó la presentación formal de su primera exhibición individual y retrospectiva titulada UNIVERSO DoDoU en la Galería F/O situada en Caminito, La Boca. Participó en el Certamen Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo YICCA (Italia) y su obra “Disperso” fue una de las 31 seleccionadas en el V CERTAMEN ARTÍSTICO INTERNACIONAL ASKATASUNARTE «Seamos Refugio» obteniendo el Tercer Premio de escultura (2020). En el mismo año, tenía prevista una exposición en la Fundación OSDE, pospuesta producto de la pandemia. Su obra “Quijano / Quijote” fue seleccionada para participar de la muestra “Secretos de Almohada” organizada por el Centro Argentino de Arte Textil. En 2021 participó del V Encuentro de Arte titulado “Hilaku Equilibrio” en Zaragoza (España). Entre abril y mayo de este año, se presentó su nueva exposición titulada TRANSICIÓN en la Galería IreneMelilloArte de la ciudad de Mar del Plata. En junio de 2022, durante la semana del jubileo de platino que conmemoró los 70 años de reinado de Isabel II, una selección de sus obras participó de la Contemporary Third Edition en la ciudad de Londres junto a diversos artistas de todo el mundo. DoDoU es miembro activa de la National Sculpture Society de Nueva York (EE.UU.) y en la actualidad se dedica a la producción de esculturas de pequeña, mediana y gran escala por encargo y para sus próximas exhibiciones.

DoDoU is a contemporary neo-minimalist sculptor from Argentina who uses a clear and universal language, her training in various areas such as medicine, oriental philosophy, music, and visual arts, allowed her to develop a concept of contemporary sculpture that combines elements such as chalk, coal and wood. After working 20 years in her studio, although she continues to apply the knowledge of the sciences mentioned above, DoDoU changed her approach decisively in 2018 devoting herself full-time to sculpture. On 2019, DoDoU’s Universe Exhibition open at F/O Gallery in La Boca, Buenos Aires. She participated in the International Contest of Contemporary Art YICCA (Italy) and with her artwork «Disperso» was one of the 31 selected works, reaching Third Prize for sculpture at the V INTERNATIONAL ASKATASUNARTE ARTISTIC CONTEST «Let’s be Refuge» (2020). In the same year, she had planned an exhibition at the OSDE Foundation, which was postponed due to the pandemic. Her work «Quijano / Quijote» was selected to participate in the exhibition «Secretos de Almohada» organized by the Centro Argentino de Arte Textil. In 2021 she participated in the V Encuentro de Arte «Hilaku Equilibrio» Textil in Zaragoza (Spain). Between April and May of this year, her new exhibition entitled TRANSITION was presented at the IreneMelilloArte Gallery in the city of Mar del Plata. In June 2022, during the Platinum Jubilee week commemorating the 70th year of Elizabeth II’s reign, a selection of her works participated in the Contemporary Third Edition in the city of London alongside artists from around the world. DoDoU is an active member of the National Sculpture Society of New York (USA) and is currently engaged in the production of small, medium and large scale sculptures for commissions and upcoming exhibitions.
